Why a rosary?

It is believed that St. Dominic first received the rosary from Our Lady, but the tradition of praying the Hail Mary and Our Father with beads dates back to the very early Church. October 7 is the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary and the whole month of October is dedicated to the rosary. So many fruits and miracles have been attributed to praying the rosary and many Popes throughout history have spoken about its power.
