Why a dishrag?
Isidora was an Egyptian nun in the 4th century. She used an old dishrag to veil her head and received the scorn and ridicule of her fellow sisters. A hermit visited the convent one day after receiving a vision saying he would meet someone full of God’s grace and he would know her by her crown. When he came to the monastery, he saw a light around Isidora’s head. She was revered by both the hermit and her sisters after that, and she eventually became a hermitess.
