Why a globe?

John Neumann came to America from Bohemia to be ordained a priest, where there was a desperate need for them. He battled tough conditions to minister to his parishioners and parishes which spanned US states! He joined the Redemporists, founded Catholic schools, and was eventually named bishop of Philadelphia. He was able to offer confessions in more than 6 languages, and because of this he ministered to many immigrants to America and showed his love for the people.
