Why a wrist chain?

St. Louis de Montfort was a great Marian saint and is known for his Total Consecration to Our Lady. He had such great devotion to Our Lady and believed in her intercession that he called his consecration to her “holy slavery”. The wrist chain was and is still worn by many who have consecrated themselves to Mary as a symbol of being chained to her.
