Why a Radio?
St. Oscar Romero became a parish priest, rector of a seminary, and later archbishop in San Salvador in the mid-20th century. He witnessed great persecution and assassinations of priests throughout his archdiocese, as well as paramilitary groups seizing control of the government. He preached weekly on the radio, and the night before his martyrdom, spoke fervently against murder and disobeying God. He was canonized in 2018.
