Why Communion?

Pius was Pope around the turn of the 19th century. He consistently fought for freedom of the Church apart from government intervention and spoke up for and gave his own support to indigenous peoples, refugees, and those suffering from natural disasters. However, he is most famous for his encouragement to receive communion very frequently, especially children.
