Sts. Corona and Roch are two powerful intercessors in this time of sickness and uncertainty.
Right now the world is facing an unprecedented viral pandemic – a novel coronavirus called Covid-19. Although not traditionally (to our knowledge) not associated with epidemics, many church leaders and faithful have begun to call on St. Corona in response to this coronavirus to pray for the end to this nightmare and the healing of all involved.
St. Roch (also known as St. Rocco) is the patron saint against the plague that raged during his life in Southern France and Italy. He tended the sick during the Black Plague and many miraculous healings of plague sufferers are attributed to him.
This quote from the Golden Legend shares a legend about what occurred after his death in prison:
“anon an angel brought from heaven a table divinely written with letters of gold into the prison, which he laid under the head of S. Rocke. And in that table was written that God had granted to him his prayer, that is to wit, that who that calleth meekly to S. Rocke he shall not be hurt with any hurt of pestilence.”
Therefore we call on St. Roch in this time of sickness for protection against illness and an end to this pandemic.
For a limited time we are making this two-pack of medals available for just $9 to spread hope and devotion to this saint during this difficult time.
